Shakespeare 400 is organized under the general theme of “Shakespeare’s afterlife” — that is, the way in which Shakespeare has influenced, inspired, offended or otherwise affected a wide spectrum of disciplinary fields — and culminating in special events on 23 April, traditionally accepted as both Shakespeare’s birth and death date.
